Schlumberger Limited Recognized as a Sustainability Leader at the SEAL Business Sustainability Awards
SLB has been recognized as a sustainability leader at the 2022 SEAL Business Sustainability Awards, which honor leadership, innovation and commitment to sustainable business practices.
“Companies have a unique opportunity and responsibility to drive environmental progress where politics cannot. Our corporate sustainability awards celebrate organizations that embrace the responsibility to effect positive change,” said Matt Harney, SEAL Awards’ Founder. “Most business sustainability initiatives are unglamorous and invisible to the general public despite having significant positive impacts—we hope our awards bring some much-needed recognition to both the activities and the leaders behind them.”

SLB was awarded the Environmental Initiatives Award in recognition of our role in quantifiably reducing greenhouse gas emissions in oil and gas operations through low carbon technologies.
“As a company that believes strongly in the power of technology and innovation, we are delighted to be recognized by SEAL as we help pave the way to a more balanced planet,” said Mikki Corcoran, VP Sustainability, SLB. “This award highlights the critical importance of decarbonizing oil and gas operations, as well as other hard to abate industries to accelerate a more sustainable energy future.”
SLB is committed to helping deliver the world’s greatest balancing act—enabling secure, accessible, sustainable energy to meet growing demand.
We’ve qualified a portfolio of technologies that can measurably reduce the environmental impact of oil and gas operations. Using a scientific methodology developed by our engineers, the impacts of these technologies have proved to reduce footprint now. Our method categorizes the environmental attributes of these Transition Technologies and links them to universally recognized United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We partner with customers who seek ways to decarbonize operations, reduce physical environmental impact, cut waste and use better water solutions. Our expanding capabilities focus on reductions that contribute to reversing climate change and align with key energy industry drivers.
