PDVSA: VENEZUELA PARTICIPATED IN THE 30TH MEETING OF THE OPEC + MINISTERIAL JOINT MONITORING COMMITTEE
The Sectorial Vice President of the Economic Area and Minister of the Popular Power of Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, highlighted this Tuesday the participation of Venezuela in the 30th Meeting of the Ministerial Committee of Joint Monitoring of OPEC +, to guarantee the maintenance of the stability of the oil market.
“In this 30th Meeting of the OPEC + Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), we vindicate the extraordinary results that have allowed us to balance the world energy market in the face of today’s challenges,” wrote El Aissami through his account on the social network Twitter @Tareckpsuv.
In this sense, he assured that “Venezuela will continue to support initiatives aimed at strengthening gradual production adjustments, in accordance with the spirit of the OPEC + Cooperation Declaration, as the only possible mechanism to ensure greater and more lasting stability in the oil market.”
This meeting, which is held through videoconference, corresponds to the meetings of the Ministerial Committee to monitor the current situation of the world oil market and review the levels of compliance in the adjustment of production agreed by each of the OPEC + nations.
The meeting is chaired by the Chairman of the Ministerial Joint Monitoring Committee and Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz Bin Salmán Al Saud; the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation and co-chair of the Ministerial Joint Monitoring Committee, Alexander Novak; the Minister of Mineral Resources and Hydrocarbons of Angola and President of the OPEC Conference, Diamantino Azevedo, and the Secretary General of OPEC, Mohammad Barkindo.
