Australia Govt: Free weather data for commercial building energy modelling

The CSIRO has developed up-to-date weather data for use in building energy simulation software.

The data simulates commercial building designs against expected weather conditions to test performance, including the effects of a changing climate.

A 2020 report found that commercial building modellers are still using weather data from as far back as 1982. It recommended up-to-date weather data and forecasting be made readily available to all.
