CEPSA APPOINTS JUAN LLOBELL AS THE NEW DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

The aim of this appointment is to strengthen the company’s corporate communication and contribute to the new strategy that the company is designing
Juan Llobell has been appointed as the new Director of Communications at Cepsa. A graduate in Journalism and Political Sciences, and an expert in media and corporate communication, his main objective will be to strengthen the company’s communication and overcome the challenges of the energy transition.

Llobell, who will report to the Director of Corporate Relations, Íñigo Díaz de Espada, and who will be responsible for both external and internal communications, held the position of Global Director of Communications at Iberdrola in recent years, where he boosted the company’s visibility and global communication. Previously, among other positions, he was Director of Communication and Institutional Relations for the multinational German company Bertelsmann and directed the Espacio Bertelsmann in Madrid, a representative headquarters and prominent cultural center in the Spanish capital. Likewise, it is worth mentioning that he spent a large part of his professional career at the financial newspaper Expansión, where he held various positions of responsibility as an editorialist and thirteen years as a correspondent in New York; he was also professor at Instituto de Empresa (IE).

Cepsa’s new Director of Communications is currently a member of the board of directors of the Association of Communication Directors (Dircom).
