On October 20, the “Forum on Opportunities for Sustainable Transportation Development”, organized by the OGCI Transportation Workstream and hosted by China National Petroleum Corporation, was held both online and offline. The forum is to gain a deep insight into low-carbon development and prospects across the transportation sector, share the ideas and best practices of member companies in low-carbon transportation development, build a bridge for communication between the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI), OGCI Climate Investments (CI) and its member companies , as well as relevant Chinese institutions , and to seek cooperation and investment opportunities for a shift toward low-carbon development in China’s transportation sector.
Representatives from the OGCI and its member companies, as well as experts and scholars from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China and Tsinghua University, attended and addressed the forum where they exchanged their views on a range of trending topics, such as the situation and trends of the transition to low-carbon transportation, the low-carbon energy mix, the development path of the automobile industry, and the role of hydrogen energy in the transition to low-carbon fuels.
