Ecopetrol informs that drilling work has begun on the Uchuva-1 well, located in the Colombian Caribbean at a water depth of approximately 837 meters, some 32 kilometers from the coast of the municipality of Palomino in the department of La Guajira.
The well, which is about 80 kilometers from the Chuchupa gas field, is operated by Petrobras and is part of the Tayrona block and is intended to investigate the exploratory potential of a new area.
This operation will be carried out from a semi-submersible type platform.
