Eni, the Italian energy company, and Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI), an institutional reference point for motorists and the Italian Motor Sports Federation are launching an important cooperation project to speed up the widespread use of products, services and solutions for sustainable mobility and the energy transition.
ACI’s widespread presence on the Italian territory will be combined with technologies and businesses from all Eni companies, with a holistic, cross-disciplinary and bespoke approach.
The agreement was signed today by Eni’s Chief Operating Officer of Energy Evolution, Giuseppe Ricci, and by the Chairman of Automobile Club d’Italia, Angelo Sticchi Damiani.
The event is an opportunity for Eni to present sustainable b2b – Eni’s sustainable offer, which includes new biofuels and products of biogenic origin obtained from waste or from vegetable raw materials not in competition with the food chain, new alternative energy carriers such as hydrogen, but also the supply of electricity produced from renewable sources, solutions for water management and the regeneration of regions under the perspective of the circular economy, as well as sustainable fuels for aviation, disinfectants and herbicides from renewable and biodegradable raw materials and products made from recycled plastic. It is a holistic approach for a future based on sustainability, which brings together all the products and services of Eni and its companies.
Giuseppe Ricci, Chief Operating Officer of Energy Evolution at Eni, said: “This is a project of which I am particularly proud. This marks the end of a journey of several years that has allowed us to redefine the guidelines for the evolution and future of Eni’s energy. It is also undoubtedly the starting point of a new approach to our stakeholders, which hinges on a vision and an integrated offer of products, services and solutions for greater sustainability and for the energy transition”.
Angelo Sticchi Damiani, Chairman of Automobile Club d’Italia, said: “This is an essential partnership that will help to create increasingly safe, clean and environmentally friendly mobility. Energy is the most important issue today, and it will be even more so in the future. The cleaner it is, the cleaner the future that awaits us will be. This is the contribution that mobility will make to the development of the country”.
