On January 6th, GCL System Integration (refer as “GCL”) (002506.SZ) launched a new PVT photovoltaic-thermal integrated module in Suzhou, in 2022.

This module is a new series of “PHOTOVOLTAIC +” products independently developed by GCL. It is the only new technology in the industry that perfectly integrates traditional photovoltaic modules and aluminum alloy blowing plate. The PVT module mainly consists of two parts: Power are generated through PVT modules, inverters, combiner etc., the heat collection end includes the heat pump main unit, heat exchanger and hot water storage tank.

Compared with common system, the PVT cogeneration system can increase the power revenue about 10%, and the comprehensive investment return period can be shortened by more than half a year compared with distributed PV system (about 5 years), the IRR even could down to 2-3 year If the region has large demand for heat consumption or the regional electricity price difference. The PVT module also lighter than conventional module, and has higher strength which back is made of aluminum alloy. In addition, the working environment temperature of the system is from -25℃ to 40℃, and it can be used normally in bad weather and night.

Now, PVT module can adapt to 158,166,182,210mm sizes, and also can be customized colorfully according to different application scenarios with buildings.

“At present, the system has been applied and promoted in Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan, Liaoning and other provinces and cities.” Chen Ning, head of GCL integrated PVT project, said.
