Indonesia Energy Ministry: Commitment of Geothermal Directorate to Build Integrity Zone Towards WBK – WBBM
Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Dadan Kusdiana revealed, one of the echelon II units of the Directorate General of EBTKE is committed to building an Integrity Zone (ZI) towards a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) – Region Clean Serving Bureaucracy (WBBM), the unit is the Geothermal Directorate.
Dadan said that currently the government must change the mindset and way of working by being a servant and providing services to the community. This is a must.
“In the past, the government was ruling and ruling. Now the regime has been reversed, the government is asked to provide better services, serve or be a servant to the public (community),” he said virtually at the event entitled ‘Socialization and Statement of Joint Commitment to ZI Development Towards WBK and WBBM in the Directorate of Geothermal Environment’, Wednesday (7/7).
Furthermore, Dadan gave his appreciation to the directors who have the initiative to build ZI towards WBK – WBBM.
“In addition to the Geothermal Directorate, the Directorate General of EBTKE also targets the Bioenergy Directorate to build ZI towards WBK – WBBM in 2021,” he added.
Support from Geothermal stakeholders, continued Dadan, is also very much needed to achieve ZI towards WBK and WBBM, by implementing the principles and values of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
“I ask my team and stakeholders to share the MEMR values, namely Honest, Professional, Serving, Integrity, and Meaningful. If we do this together, God willing, we can achieve Bureaucratic Reform towards WBK and WBBM,” he said.
On the same occasion, Director of Geothermal Harris Yahya said that the journey of the Geothermal Directorate to achieve the WBK – WBBM predicate has been started since 2017, by conducting an internal self-assessment, but has not been included in the assessment carried out by the KemenPANRB.
Furthermore, in 2018 and 2019, the Geothermal Directorate has conducted an independent assessment and has submitted it to the KemenPANRB, but the results have not yet received the WBK – WBBM predicate. In 2020, the Geothermal Directorate did not include it in the KemenPANRB assessment.
“In 2021, we have carried out all the requirements and hopefully later the supporting documents can be completed better, so that the assessment that is currently being carried out at the Inspectorate General continues to the KemenPANRB for a national assessment,” said Harris.
