METI: Briefing Session on the Current Status of Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS) Treated Water at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station
Briefing Session on the current status of Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS) treated water was held on the 24th of February, 2022.
On Thursday, the 24th of February, the Government of Japan organized a video conference briefing session on the current status of Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS) treated water at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS) for all diplomatic missions in Tokyo.
In the session, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Agency for Natural Resources and Energy explained the outline of the review on the safety of ALPS treated water conducted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from February 14th to 18th, 2022, which was followed by a Q&A session.
The Government of Japan continues to explain the situation of the FDNPS to the international community in a transparent manner in close collaboration among all the related Ministries and Agencies.
