The participants discussed semiconductors, export control, digital economy, and trade and investment.
On April 8, 2022, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Department of Commerce virtually held a meeting of the Japan-U.S. Commercial and Industrial Partnership (JUCIP) Sub-ministerial. The participants discussed semiconductors, export control, digital economy, and trade and investment, confirming the progress of bilateral cooperation on each theme.
The participants also decided to prepare to hold a JUCIP Ministerial Meeting in the near future to discuss the progress in a higher level.
