MOEI: 1726 Citizens Were Given Their New Homes That Were Completed In Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah And Ajman Before The End Of The Year
Under the directives of the wise leadership, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure represented by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, is in the process of handing over 1,726 citizens their new homes that have been completed in the emirates of Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman, before the end of this year 2021.
His Excellency Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure revealed that the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program will begin, during the coming period, handing over houses to eligible citizens, according to the approved lists. The number of villas that will be delivered as a new batch is 888 houses in the three phases of Bateen Al Samar residential district in Ras Al Khaimah, 497 houses in Al Muntazi residential district in Ajman, and 341 houses in Al Khawaneej residential district in Dubai, with a value exceeding two billion Dirhams.
His Excellency stressed that this confirms the extent of the UAE’s wise leadership’s interest in the sons and daughters of the UAE, and its relentless endeavor to provide the family stability, a decent life, and the conveniences for the comfort and well-being for the citizens of the country as they are at the forefront of the interests of the UAE government, considering the new housing projects that have been designed according to the highest modern standards and taking into account the availability of all the needs, facilities, infrastructure and services of the project, which consolidates the country’s position globally and its quest to achieve outstanding results within the relevant global competitiveness indicators, namely the indicators “the percentage of citizens who own a home” and “the time for citizens to obtain a house or housing support.”
His Excellency said: “The UAE is working through an integrated strategy to develop the housing sector in all regions of the country, in order to serve the citizens and maintain the stability and prosperity, with the aim of securing adequate housing for them; and that the housing projects implemented by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program support the housing objectives of the UAE. Our vision aims to develop the government housing for a new phase of sustainable development, in which the efforts and roles are integrated and in which authorities cooperate to improve the housing situation and support its requirements in accordance with a national vision in which the first and last goal is the welfare and the happiness of citizens who are the priority of the next stage of the national development.
His Excellency added: “Within the framework of meeting the needs of families for an adequate housing, family stability and the quality of life, and taking into account the social dimensions of the citizens and always working to use the measures that are in their interest and achieve integration at the national level, the UAE has launched a number of ambitious initiatives that are represented in developing the housing models to reduce the cost of construction, increasing the life span of the house and meeting the aspirations and future needs of the sons and daughters of the UAE; in addition to providing multiple financing options and solutions at competitive prices that contribute to reducing the waiting time for the housing assistance through the partnerships with the Emirates Development Bank and a number of national banks.
His Excellency pointed out that the study of housing requests and the determination of the actual need is carried out according to the housing calculator, which determines the need based on studied weights of 40% for the financial aspect and 30% for both the social and residential aspects, which in turn is based on what is stipulated by the regulations and laws approved in this regard.
In another context, His Excellency pointed out that the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has worked to develop the experience of users of the digital services by applying the best international practices by relying on the innovation system, harnessing all the resources and capabilities and investing in expertise and competencies to develop the customer service system in a manner that serves the interests of all individuals of society, and achieve happiness and the quality of life for them.
He stressed that the UAE, under the directives of the wise leadership, is keen to build smart future cities with distinguished facilities, relying on sustainability, green buildings and solutions to preserve the environment that contributes to supporting the system of sustainable development and enhances the economic position of the state; and that the UAE is taking rapid steps to cross to the next fifty years, and achieve the global leadership by the 2071 centenary by launching qualitative initiatives and projects that keep pace with the direction of the UAE government.”
His Excellency praised the great cooperation of the federal authorities and local governments, which resulted in great achievements in the development of the government housing system. He added that the continuous coordination has contributed to setting broad lines in order to strengthen the foundations of the government work in accordance with a joint system that harmonizes between the federal and the local… He stressed that the UAE government understands the importance of the joint action to enhance its objectives in the field of infrastructure and housing, so the Cabinet has recently approved the formation of the UAE Infrastructure and Housing Council, which establishes an effective and ambitious partnership between government agencies and the private sector to organize this sector, developing a comprehensive vision to address issues and challenges related to it, and defining the strategic vision and work priorities for the next fifty years.
