Represented by Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced the approval of housing assistance decisions for the month of October, with a total of 538 new housing decisions worth AED 430 million. The new approvals include the fourth group of loan beneficiaries under the new housing policy, with 500 new housing finance decisions worth AED 400 million. This brings total approvals since the beginning of 2022 to 2,214 housing assistance decisions, with a total value of AED 1.76 billion.
HE Eng. Mohamed Al Mansoori, Director of Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, said: “The programme is well on course towards implementing the directives of the wise leadership, to reach the target of 3000 loan beneficiaries in 2022, at a rate of 500 housing decisions per month. Work is underway to develop complete concepts that contribute to achieving the state’s housing objectives, which represent a major focus for the coming fifty years, raising the level of happiness and quality of life, and supporting family stability and wellbeing.”
Al Mansoori added: “The housing topic is a priority within the strategic directions of the state for the coming fifty years. It is the approach pursued by HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his brother, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who personally follow up this topic. The wise leadership’s directives and the ambitious decisions and initiatives that deal with the housing topic embody their constant interest and keenness on meeting the aspirations and needs of citizens and ensuring they have a proper standard of living and wellbeing along with their families.”
He stressed that the UAE’s wise leadership has paid great attention to the housing sector and held several discussions on the topic as part of the project aimed at designing the coming fifty years in the UAE, especially as it is seen as a major element within the country’s strategy. The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, represented by Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, and under the directives of HE the Minister Suhail bin Mohamed Al Mazrouei, diligently endeavors to take ambitious decisions that are in line with the leadership’s directions in terms of meeting the increasing demand for housing, and the advancement of this vital sector. This sector is considered a major underpinning for national economies, and plays a vital role in family stability, happiness and quality of life.”
The Director of the housing programme pointed out that the programme has been willing to work with a participatory approach and cooperate with various government entities concerned with the housing sector, along with national banks and private sector partners. This cooperation aims to unite the efforts of all relevant authorities to meet citizens’ needs for quality government housing, by designing initiatives and action plans that keep pace with the ongoing achievements.
