Workers of PDVSA Gas, a subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, SA PDVSA, controlled a gas leak that occurred this Saturday in the Barbacoas sector, in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state, as a result of a terrorist attack, this was announced by the President Nicolás Maduro, in the act of commemoration of January 23, from the people’s balcony in the Miraflores Palace.
The first national president reported that the act of sabotage was carried out by unknown subjects in a section of the 26-inch gas pipeline, which runs from Anaco to the Jose Industrial Complex, with the intention of sabotaging the supply of gas to the country, “always on dates important the Terrorist Right tries to affect the gas supply, cowards! “
Similarly, President Maduro highlighted the immediate intervention of specialized personnel from the oil industry who immediately came to the scene to cordon off the area, shut off the gas through the pipeline and extinguish the flames.
In addition to PDVSA workers, they participated in the effective work of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and other security and defense organizations, to guarantee the integrity of the inhabitants of the area and their property.
The authorities of Petróleos de Venezuela immediately began actions to replace the affected pipe section and keep the gas pipeline in operation.
The terrorist attack left two people with minor burns, who were treated at the Industrial Clinic of the Jose Complex.
