One minute of silence and one minute of applause marked the tribute to Covid-19 victims and the healthcare workers caring for the patients
From today, this kind of tribute will be paid daily in the company’s work centers
Today at noon, workers from various departments at Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) conducted the ceremony to honor those who have died from Covid-19. An emotional tribute was also paid to Healthcare Workers who are on the frontlines and fighting this pandemic from the hospitals and clinics in the country.
Following the initiative of Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the CEO of the State-owned productive company asked the oil workers’ community to join in this act and perform it daily at Pemex facilities and work centers.
Sharp at 12 o’clock, at the plaza of the Centro Administrativo Pemex (CAP) in Mexico City, workers held one minute of silence in remembrance of the workers who have fallen to this disease. Afterwards, they acknowledged the responsible, disciplined and united work of doctors, nurses and healthcare workers, who dedicate every day to fighting this pandemic from the frontlines.
This ceremony was held in various PEMEX facilities across the country, where personell from Strategic Safeguard, Hospital, Refinery, Processing Centers, and Storage Terminals participated in honoring Covid-19 victims and Healthcare workers.
The corporate director for Management and Services, Marcos M. Herrería Alamina; the general director of Logistics, Javier Emiliano González del Villar; the corporate director of Planning, Coordination and Performance, Víctor Manuel Navarro Cervantes; the junior director of Human Capital, Franco Octavio Veites Palavicini Pesquera; the junior director of Healthcare Services, Rodolfo Lehmann Mendoza; as well as the junior director of Communications and Marketing, Jimena Alvarado Cruz; and the junior director of Corporate Services, Iyadalid Martínez Domínguez, attended the ceremony.
