PT Pertamina (Persero), through Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java, is committed to improving its customer service by bringing fuel and LPG to remote villages. The 34.46134 Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) located on Jl Raya Bandung – Tasikmalaya KM 81, Kadipaten District, Tasikmalaya Regency, is in great demand by the public because it provides public facilities for natural hot spring.
West Java Regional Executive General Manager, Waljiyanto, said that hot springs are available because the Kadipaten and Ciawi sub-districts have several geothermal hot springs containing sulfur from the Karaha Bodas Crater mountains managed by Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE). Thus it supports as a tourist attraction in the area. “In an effort to provide perfect service to the community in distributing energy in the West Java, Banten, and DKI Jakarta Regions, Pertamina not only ensures the safe supply condition but also provides additional services to its consumers to make them feel comfortable,” Waljiyanto explained.
Meanwhile, Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional, Eko Kristiawan, explained that this is the only petrol station in the West Java Region with a hot water bath Rest Area concept as a resting place for visitors. It is not only to buy fuel, but visitors can also relax in the natural hot springs.
He said that the hot spring facility was deliberately made by the petrol station owner in 2010 for the public so it could be used at any time by travelers who want to rest. The petrol station on the left side of the road from Bandung is beginning to be busy with tourists who wish to bathe their bodies for a moment in the hot spring since the decline in Covid-19 cases and the granting of Eid al-Fitr homecoming this year.
The petrol station provides a 7×12 meters hot spring, where visitors can enjoy soaking room facilities, he said. In addition to baths, visitors can enjoy other facilities such as restaurants, supermarkets, prayer rooms, and other resting facilities. “With a 24 hours operation time, it is hoped that the petrol station service can provide satisfaction to consumers,” Eko added.
