Pertamina: Pertamina Eco Run 2021 Will Be Held Virtually

The annual Pertamina Eco Run 2021 competition will be held at the end of this year. Similar to last year, the event will be held virtually.

Pertamina Eco Run registration is officially open from November 15 to November 26, 2021. Prospective participants can register through the Pertamina Eco Run application. The registration process is free of charge.

Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fajriyah Usman, said all processes of the Pertamina Eco Run will be held virtually, from registration, implementation, awarding prizes, and door prizes. Everything is done digitally and can be watched through the company’s official account.

“Pertamina will comply with the government’s recommendation of limiting large group activities,” said Fajriyah.

Pertamina Eco Run is Pertamina’s way of inviting the community to stay healthy and maintain immunity. It is also a campaign to care for others while inviting all participants to care about the environment. The theme of this year’s Eco run is ‘Run For The Earth.’ Every kilometer ran will be converted into Pertamina’s CSR program, which focuses on reducing emissions, carbon footprints, and maintaining earth sustainability.

“By exchanging 640 points for purchasing fuel that is of higher quality and more environmentally friendly, such as the Pertamax series and Pertamina Dex through the MyPertamina application, it can be directly exchanged for an Eco run ticket,” explained Fajriyah.

Fajriyah added Pertamina Eco Run would be held from November 27, 2021. Participants can choose the desired period. In the multiple run period, participants can run for 13 days period from November 27, 2021, to December 09, 2021, at their respective locations and collect a running distance of 10 KM.

While in the real-time run session, participants will run for 5 KM simultaneously at their respective locations, namely December 12, 2021, starting at 06.00 WIB.

Furthermore, participants can upload their results which will be accumulated automatically. The results later can be seen on the leaderboard at www.pertaminaecorun.com.

Fajriyah explained, there are not many different running mechanisms in Pertamina Eco Run 2021 from the previous year. Participants only need to download the Pertamina Eco Run Application. Registered Pertamina Eco Run Application users will be notified when it is time to start running.

“The Pertamina Eco Run application will automatically record the results of running. The accumulated results will be displayed in Leaderboard Challenge automatically,” said Fajriyah.

Fajriyah emphasized that all people who are 15 years old and above can register as participants, including foreigners living in Indonesia.
