Pertamina: Pertamina Receives the 2021 Asian Excellence Award

PT Pertamina (Persero) has received another award at the 2021 Asian Excellence Award event held by Corporate Governance Asia (Hong Kong). Pertamina received awards for 5 (five) categories. It includes Nicke Widyawati as Best CEO, Emma Sri Martini as Best CFO, Juverson Victor Mangempis as Best Investor Relations Professional, Best Investor Relations by Country, and Best CSR.

VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fajriyah Usman, said this award appreciates Pertamina’s performance in terms of company management, business, and financial performance, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and investor relations. “This award is based on Pertamina’s achievement in 2020. Pertamina was able to withstand challenges in the oil and gas industry, as well as the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. We appreciate the award given. This award is in line with our commitment to continuously improve performance and prepare ourselves for global challenges by continuing to innovate, “said Fajriyah.

Apart from Pertamina, several other Asian energy companies such as PetroChina Company Ltd, PTT Public Company Ltd, Thai Oil Public Company Ltd, Global Power Synergy Public Company Ltd also received awards at the 2021 Asian Excellence Award event.

Fajriyah added Pertamina continues to innovate to record the best performance. One of them is Pertamina’s strategic corporate action with restructuring. Pertamina becomes a holding company by delegating business operations to sub holdings so that Pertamina Group operations become faster, more efficient, and increase the Group’s ability and flexibility to pursue a target market value of US$100 billion in 2024.

The Asian Excellence Award is an annual award event related to Good Corporate Governance held by Corporate Governance Asia, a leading magazine on Environment, Social Affairs, Corporate Governance, Investor Relations, and Sustainability, published every three months. This magazine was founded in 2002 and was published by New Initiative Media Ltd with an estimated readership of 12,000 from executives in Asian companies, regulators, institutional investors, fund managers, accountants, academics, and more.

The recognition through this award shows that the efforts carried out by Pertamina are in line with Pertamina’s vision and the strategy of the Ministry of SOEs to encourage SOEs to Go Global, including by having a reputation that is recognized internationally.
