Pertamina Group’s synergy through the Pertamina Gas Subholding Affiliate and Pertamina Upstream Subholding has produced positive results.
PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), through a Joint Operation (KSO) with PT Rukun Raharja Tbk, has completed the Rokan Work Area Oil Pipeline Project. It was followed by the trial of distributing the first oil (first oil in) from Duri Crude CGS10 to the Dumai Meter Station.
The PT PGAS Solution Consortium and PT Patra Drilling Contractor (KPP) worked on the Rokan Oil Pipeline Project. Until December 2021, the Pertamina group synergy in the Rokan Oil Pipeline Project has provided tangible benefits by employing 2,625 workers, 74% of which are local workers.
The first distribution trial was carried out on January 27, 2022, at Duri Crude CGS10. The oil arrived at the Dumai Pertagas Meter Station on January 31, 2022. A total of 18,781 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) from PHR flowed in the trial.
As a form of gratitude, the Rokan Heavy Oil Duri – Dumai Pipeline Test Ceremony was held at the Dumai Meter Station on Thursday (03/02/2022). The ceremony was attended by the Head of Representative of SKK Migas for North Sumatera, Director of Infrasctructure and Technology of PT PGN Tbk, President Director of Pertagas, Director of Development and Production of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR), and President Director of PT Rukun Raharja Tbk (Raja).
In December 2021, Pertagas completed the construction of the Rokan oil pipeline (mechanical completion pipeline) with 342 Km pipe length and 13 pipeline segments. In January 2022, Pertagas continued the project to the next stage, namely, the commissioning phase by conducting an oil distribution trial in the CGS10 Duri segment to the Dumai Meter Station.
After the trial in the CGS10 Duri segment to the Dumai Meter Station, Pertagas will carry out a second commissioning in the CGS1, 3, and 5 Duri Segments.
“Fortunately, by involving all commitments and adherence to safety aspects, the construction of the Rokan Oil Pipeline project can be completed according to the target. Hopefully, the next stage will continue smoothly without any significant problems, so that it can transport oil according to the initial target of reaching 265,000 barrels per day,” said Director of Infrastructure and Technology of PGN, Achmad Muchtasyar.
The Rokan Oil Pipeline crosses 5 regencies/cities and 38 villages in Riau. The Rokan Oil Pipeline is divided into two parts, namely the northern line connecting the Balam – Bangko – Dumai Corridor, and the southern route connecting the Minas – Duri – Dumai Corridor.
“Alhamdulillah, the first oil distribution in the Rokan Oil Pipeline has been carried out smoothly. It will be a new milestone for Pertagas and PGN’s Gas Subholding in supporting the performance of the Rokan Block,” said Pertagas President Director Wiko Migantoro as Lead of KSO Pertagas and RAJA.
This project recorded 4,045,342 safe working hours without accidents until its completion in January 2022. This accomplishment was achieved due to the high awareness of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) aspects implementations by all employees in the project environment.
“Salute to all agencies involved, today we are witnessing a new historic moment for the Rokan Block. With this flow, it is hoped that the completion of all Rokan Oil Pipeline Work Area commissioning stages can be completed on time and will later be able to support increased production and oil lifting from the Rokan Block managed by PHR and can contribute optimally to achieve the national target of 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD in 2030,” said Taufik Aditiyawarman, Director of Development and Production of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) as Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding.
