PTT provides additional financial assistance to those affected by the leaked gas pipes

Mr. Wanchai Kongkasem, Samut Prakan Govenor, preside over the contribution to provide financial assistance to the injured and those affected by the gas leak incidents at Wat Preng Rad Bamrung, Preng Subdistrict, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province along with Mr. Atikom Terbsiri, Chief Operating Officer, Upstream Petroleum and Gas Business Group, PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) has contributed to help mitigate the impact of the incident.

Mr. Atikom, said the grant today was in line with the resolution of the Remedial Aid Working Group. Victims from the natural gas pipeline leak at the Samut Prakan Province on November 16, and in addition to victims from those that was granted on November 9, were divided into 48 injured and 137 whom property were damages such property including shops, vehicles, etc.

With the aid of the preliminary allowance for the injured victims, the injured victims would still has the right to receive indemnity according to the law from the insurance company, depending on the case. As for the damages of the property, PTT has provide payment for such expense on behalf of the insurance company, in order to help mitigate the impact for property owners during the renovation.

In addition, PTT appreciates the cooperation from all sectors, who has helped contribute in mitigating the cause and aided the people in the area to return to their normal life. PTT, has received cooperation from many agencies in help repairing the building, restoring the environment in the affected area around the police station and the school such as paving the road around the damage houses, improve the sport field and the Preng Wisuthathibadi school football fields as well as provide mental rehabilitation activities for students once the school term is open.
