RN-Yuganskneftegaz has been participating in artificial reproduction of aquatic bioresources since 2019. The enterprise has released more than 280 million fry of valuable fish species into Yugra’s reservoirs since then.
Siberian sturgeon, muksun, whitefish and peled fry were raised at the fish factories, which offer optimal conditions for fish reproduction, on the oil industry’s order.
The fry were released in pre-selected favourable locations, such as small channels with sufficient nutrition and mild water flow. Fry there gain weight and enter the larger rivers.
