Rosneft published the Code of Suppliers of Goods, Works, and Services in the Area of Human Rights Observance
Rosneft respects and strictly observes, in its activities, human rights and freedoms in accordance with the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Social Charter of the Russian Business, generally recognized norms in the area of human rights and freedoms protection, and in accordance with applicable laws of the Russian Federation and other countries where the Company operates.
Since 2007, the Company has been publishing sustainability reports in accordance with the international standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Rosneft is also a member of the UN Global Compact, thereby confirming its commitment to compliance with human rights, and annually updates its public statement “Rosneft: Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals”. In July 2020, the Company presented its Public Statement on Human Rights and the Declaration on Human Rights in Interaction with Suppliers of Goods, Works, and Services.
Development of the Supplier Code of Conduct is a continuation of Rosneft’s comprehensive efforts to observe human rights and freedoms all across its supply chain of goods, works and services. The Company expects its suppliers and contractors to implement the Code and adhere to it in carrying out their activities.
In recent years, Rosneft has been one of the largest consumers of goods, works and services among Russian companies. In 2020, the volume of the Company’s purchases from third-party contractors amounted to more than 2.7 trillion rubles. More than 137 thousand procurement procedures were placed on the electronic trading platform of TEK-Torg JSC.
