Russia Ministry of Energy: Anton Semeykin at the TB Forum spoke about ensuring the safety of fuel and energy facilities

Anton Semeikin spoke about current legislative changes in terms of ensuring the safety of fuel and energy facilities at the TB Forum.

“The State Duma has already adopted in the first reading a bill that allows fuel and energy companies to establish“ corporate ”private security organizations. At the same time, the composition of organizations that will be able to protect the objects of the fuel and energy complex is being specified, depending on the hazard category of such objects, ”explained the director of the Department of Economic Security in the fuel and energy complex.

In addition, the Ministry of Energy has developed amendments to the requirements for safety and anti-terrorist protection of areal and linear objects of the fuel and energy complex.

“The Ministry of Energy took into account the proposals of the fuel and energy companies and excluded the obviously unrealizable requirements. At the same time, fuel and energy companies will be able to use more modern and effective engineering and technical security means at their facilities, which, on the one hand, will enhance the protection of fuel and energy facilities, and on the other, avoid unnecessary costs, ”he explained.

According to Anton Semeikin, now one of the main tasks is to improve the state of protection of critical information infrastructure facilities in the context of the digitalization of the industry. The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation has developed guidelines for identifying and categorizing objects of the critical information infrastructure of the fuel and energy complex.

“The Ministry of Energy will continue to work on a comprehensive revision of legislation in terms of ensuring the safety of fuel and energy facilities. We have drawn up a work plan and it covers almost all existing regulatory legal acts in this area, ”concluded Anton Semeykin.
