Russia Ministry of Energy: Evgeny Grabchak in an interview with Vesti v Elektroenergetika magazine: “The Ministry of Energy aims to obtain transparent information from companies about accidents in the energy sector.”
The Ministry of Energy is aimed at obtaining real information from companies about all significant accidents in the energy sector and jointly solving such problems, Yevgeny Grabchak said in an interview with Vesti v Elektroenergetika magazine.
According to him, at present, the practice of generalizing the experience of passing the heating seasons is being implemented, problems and “bottlenecks” are identified, ways of their solution are outlined. The experience gained is used in preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
In particular, the Ministry of Energy of Russia conducts round-the-clock monitoring of the operational situation in the electric power industry, fixing large and significant emergency outages, and exercises general control over the provision by electric power industry entities of information on all accidents that have occurred at the power equipment they operate, the Deputy Minister emphasized.
“We have repeatedly encountered cases when companies tried to hide information about accidents and technological incidents from the ministry. But thanks to comprehensive monitoring, including regional media and social networks, the ministry still found out about them. The Ministry of Energy aims to ensure that companies do not hide the real state of affairs, but solve these problems together with us, ”said Yevgeny Grabchak.
He also noted that recently, low and medium voltage power grids have received less attention compared to networks with a voltage of 35 kV and above.
“Together with grid companies, we are actively studying the situation in the 35kV segment and below. In many regions, programs have been developed to improve the reliability of low and medium voltage grids, weekly meetings are held on the state of grids of these classes ”, – commented the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy.
