Nikolai Shulginov, as part of a working trip to the Irkutsk Region, together with the head of Rosseti, Andrey Ryumin, held a meeting of the Headquarters on the construction of power facilities as part of the expansion of the Eastern range.
To supply power to the Eastern landfill, more than 5.3 thousand km of power transmission lines will be built and modernized, over 5.6 thousand MVA of transformer capacity will be put into operation.
“Power engineers have to carry out a significant amount of work on the modernization and construction of the power grid infrastructure. This will provide a significant synergistic effect: increasing the throughput of the Eastern landfill and the industrial development of Eastern Siberia, ”the Minister emphasized during the meeting.
Nikolay Shulginov also inspected the Ust-Kut 500 kV substation, which is planned to be expanded for technological connection of the Ust-Kut – Kovykta 220 kV power transmission line. The implementation of the project will provide electricity for the Kovykta gas condensate field, the largest in the East, PJSC Gazprom. Investments in the expansion of the substation will amount to 20.6 billion rubles.
In addition, the construction of the second stage of the 500 kV Ust-Kut – Nizhneangarskaya power transmission line with a length of 484 km will begin in autumn, which, in addition to increasing the BAM’s capacity, will contribute to the industrial development of the adjacent areas. Investments in the project will exceed 47 billion rubles.
