Russia Ministry of Energy: Pavel Snikkars held a meeting of the Coordination Council at the EES of the CIS

Pavel Snikkars chaired the second meeting of the Coordination Council under the Electric Power Council (EEC) of the CIS.

At the meeting, the updating of the organization’s activities was discussed, and the revised draft of the Council’s Action Plan for 2022 was approved.

The Working Group on Environment, Energy Efficiency and RES was instructed to prepare proposals for the development of a draft Plan of Priority Actions for 2022-2030 for the implementation of the Concept of Cooperation of the CIS Member States in the Use of RES.

In addition, information was provided on the Interstate Program of Innovative Cooperation in the CIS until 2030.

Also, the Coordinating Council approved the draft Plan for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the EES of the CIS and the UN European Economic Commission for 2021-2025 and recommended the EES to approve this plan.

At the end of the meeting, the Council approved the draft Agenda of the 59th meeting of the EEC CIS and agreed to agree on the date of its holding by December 17.

The third meeting of the Coordination Council at the EES of the CIS is planned to be held in February 2022 in the format of a video conference.
