Russia Ministry of Energy: Pavel Sorokin: “Creation of infrastructure facilities will allow investors to supply resources at reasonable prices in the next 20-30 years”
The creation of new infrastructure facilities in the oil and gas complex will allow investors to supply resources at reasonable prices in the next 20-30 years, Pavel Sorokin said at the Energy Intelligence Forum. As the Deputy Minister noted, for this purpose, all the necessary capacities have already been created in the Russian fuel and energy complex in order to fully fulfill the plans for the extraction of raw materials.
According to him, stimulation measures will be required for oil production in new regions, including the construction of new infrastructure.
“We are talking about the creation of both onshore and, for example, infrastructure for the export of oil along the Northern Sea Route, or such pipelines as the ESPO or the Baltic Pipeline System. Our resource base for oil production allows us to be flexible in terms of production and, at the same time, remain competitive, ”added Pavel Sorokin.
