The Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) recently announced the ProdOps* tuned production operations solution and the Optiq Seismic* fiber-optic borehole seismic solution have each won an OTC Asia 2022 Spotlight on New Technology® Award. The annual awards program recognizes the latest, most advanced and innovative technologies that are propelling the industry into the future.

“This year’s recipients showcase outstanding work to develop products and services to make offshore energy development more efficient and sustainable,” said Neil Kavanagh, OTC Asia 2022 Advisory Committee and Oversight Committee Chair.

OTC Asia 2022 Spotlight on New Technology Award Winning Technologies from Schlumberger: Optiq Seismic Solution and ProdOps Solution
“Industry demand continues to increase for solutions that improve production performance and reduce operational footprint and carbon intensity,” said Amy Chua, Schlumberger’s Asia President. “The ProdOps and Optiq Seismic solutions meet these business-critical industry needs and are representative of technologies that will be necessary for the future of offshore energy development.”

The ProdOps solution is a collaborative, automated advisory system that identifies asset underperformance and enhancement opportunities up to 80% faster than was previously possible. The solution delivers single-source-of-truth operational data, auto-calibrated models, and automated insights. AI models delivered on an open foundation power faster, better decision making at scale.

The Optiq Seismic solution eliminates the need for a dedicated borehole seismic descent, improving efficiency and reducing carbon emissions related to borehole seismic acquisition by up to 99%. It is an end-to-end solution that leverages distributed acoustic sensing, digital innovation, and unique temporary or permanent fiber-optic deployments to reduce exploration time and maximize production.
