Sixth Batch Of 495 Housing Assistance Decisions Approved

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, represented by Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, approved the sixth batch of housing assistance decisions for the month of December, with a total of 495 new housing financing decisions, totalling AED 392.1 million, of which 457 decisions at a value of AED 361.7 million, and 38 government housing at a value of AED 30.4 million. This coincides with the UAE’s 51st National Day celebrations and pursuant to the new housing policy at Sheik Zayed Housing Program, as well as the new AED 11.5 billion financing program for housing loans benefiting 13,000 Emirati families, which was approved by the Cabinet last May.

The Ministry stated that with the announcement of the sixth batch of the new housing financing program, the total number of approvals announced since last May jumped to 2983 housing assistance decisions, with a total value of AED 2.374 billion, bringing the percentage of commitment to the announced plan to more than 99%. The total number of government housing approvals throughout this year is 565 decisions, worth of AED 452 million. The Ministry pointed out that the total number of approvals issued during the year 2022 jumped to 3571 decisions, for a value of AED 2.842 billion.HE Suhail bin Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, confirmed that the approval of the sixth batch under the new housing policy and the financing program for housing loans comes out of the keenness of the wise leadership of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his brother, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to ensure housing stability and good living standards and a decent life for citizens. This supports their role in contributing to advancing development in society, and that housing is a top priority for the wise leadership and a major focus of the national strategy and a target of the fiftieth anniversary of the state.Al Mazrouei acclaimed the interest of the wise leadership in providing a decent life and prosperity for citizens, explaining that citizens are as a priority for the wise leadership as they try to provide them with a decent life, appropriate housing, family stability, prosperity and happiness. He added that citizens are at the heart of the strategies and priorities of the federal government, and that the approval of the sixth batch in conjunction with the state’s celebrations the 51ST National Day highlights how important the topic of housing is for the leadership and the government.HE Eng.
