Tata Power: Tata Power Solar Systems Limited receives ‘Letter of Award’ of INR 612 crore to set up 100MW ground mounted project for SJVN in Gujarat
Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL), one of India’s leading solar companies and 100% subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), received the ‘Letter of Award’ (LoA) of ? 612 crore for setting up a 100 MW ground-mounted solar project for SJVN Limited (SJVN).
SJVN is an Indian public sector undertaking having business interests in hydro, thermal, solar, wind and in Power Transmission & Power Trading. It is a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The bids for the project, located at the Raghanesda solar park plot C, Gujarat, were invited earlier this year.
The LoA was awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project will get commissioned within 11 months from the date of receiving of LoA.
Speaking on the win, Mr. Ashish Khanna, CEO, TPREL, said, “We are glad to be associated with SJVN for setting up this 100MW landmark solar project in the ground-mounted segment. TPSSL has commissioned several large scale solar ground-mounted projects in the country. TPSSL is a pioneer in curating customized strategic renewable projects and with this win its total portfolio will touch 9.9GWp. As on date, TPSSL’s total order book stands at ? 15,520 crore.
