Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the plan for the implementation of the Energy Strategy until 2035.

In the strategy adopted last summer, the main goals for the development of the country’s fuel and energy complex identified such areas as promoting the country’s socio-economic development, as well as strengthening and maintaining Russia’s position in the global energy sector. The plan adopted by the Government will contribute to their achievement.

“The plan includes over 130 events. They affect all areas of our fuel and energy complex – from resource extraction to supplying residential buildings with energy and heat. Each task has its own set of activities. Among them is the increase in the production of liquefied natural gas to 140 million tons. Creation of centers for its transshipment, storage and trade. Opening of low-carbon hydrogen production landfills. Development of charging infrastructure for cars. And also – involvement in the development of hard-to-recover oil and gas reserves. Most of the activities will be implemented in the next year and a half, ”said Mikhail Mishustin.

According to him, in the medium term, the strategy will allow solving a number of important tasks for the development of the country. To increase the production of oil and gas condensate in Eastern Siberia, the Far East and the Arctic zone. To significantly increase the production of LNG. Increase the share of our own or localized advanced technological equipment. And significantly expand the volume of exports to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

“The implementation of the measures of the Energy Strategy until 2035 is an important task for us. First of all, it will increase the reliability of providing the domestic market – both business and ordinary citizens – with all energy resources. The strategy will also strengthen Russia’s position in the fuel and energy complex markets and ensure the development of new areas, in particular, hydrogen energy, ”Nikolai Shulginov said.
