Trade, Industry and Energy 2nd Vice Minister Park Il-jun holds industrial energy conservation conference

Trade, Industry and Energy 2nd Vice Minister Park Il-jun held the industrial energy conservation conference on December 20 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to discuss various industries’ energy saving progress and plans with public and private organizations.

In his opening remarks, Vice Minister Park stated that “committees and groups per each industry sector play an important role by connecting individual companies, which enables the nationwide energy campaign to have substantial outcomes,” and encouraged companies to share success cases of efficiency enhancement and lead the promotion for energy conservation and efficiency innovation investment. He also asked cooperation for the World Climate Industry Expo.

The conference was attended by representatives of major institutions and groups per industry, including KCCI Vice Chairman Woo Tae-hee, Korea Semiconductor Industry Association Vice Chairman Lee Chang-han and Korea Petrochemical Industry Association Vice President Song Yoo-jong.
