Unique innovation in Madhya Pradesh, solar power will also be made in wind power plants

Bhopal : New and Renewable Energy Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Dang has informed that solar energy panels will also be installed at wind power plant sites in the state soon. This will provide solar energy in the daytime and wind power at night, which will be an important step towards making Madhya Pradesh self-reliant. Minister Shri Dang said this while reviewing the draft of the renewable energy policy. Principal Secretary New and Renewable Energy Shri Sanjay Dubey, Managing Director Urja Vikas Nigam Shri Deepak Saxena and senior officials were present in the meeting.

Maximum solar park approved for Madhya Pradesh this year in the country

Minister Shri Dang informed that this year maximum number of solar parks have been approved for Madhya Pradesh in the country. Of the 18 thousand MW solar parks approved in the country this year, about 5 thousand MW solar parks have been approved for Madhya Pradesh alone. These include 1500 MW Agar-Shajapur-Neemuch Solar Park, 600 MW Omkareshwar Floating Solar Park, 950 MW Chhatarpur Solar Park and 1400 MW Morena Solar Park. All these parks will be completed in 2022-23. Land has been identified for Rewa-2, Chhatarpur, Morena, Sagar and Ratlam Solar Parks. Work is going on at various levels in all the projects under construction.

Renewable energy policy will focus on Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. Shri Dang reviewed the objective of renewable energy policy, contribution of Madhya Pradesh in renewable energy in the creation of self-reliant India, generation of employment opportunities, establishing the state as a major renewable energy exporter in the country along with making the state self-reliant in renewable energy generation, energy security, investment and promotion of various projects etc.
