New Delhi: Senior Railway officials ,Shri Manoj Kumar Srivastava,Principal Executive Director, Railway Board, Shri Salil Jha, Principal Chief Operating Manager(Pr.COM), Eastern Central Railways(ECR) , Hazipur, Shri Pankaj Kumar, Sr. DOM, ECR Dhanbad recently visited Banadag Railway siding of Pakri-Barwadih Coal Mining project of Jharkhand.Shri Partha Mazumder,Regional Executive Director( Coal Mining), Shri MVR Reddy,Executive Director(Pakri-Barwadih) accompanied them and attended the meeting and discussed about the enhancement of loading from this siding, NTPC’s yard augmentation plan, additional lines set up by Railways etc.
Pr.COM,ECR ,Shri Jha suggested that doubling of Hazaribagh to Banadag line ,loading bulb at Banadag Yard ,provisions of ‘Y’ sections at Hazaribag and at Koderma line etc. may be taken up to enable 50 % capacity enchantment plan of NTPC and also to enable faster and smoother movement of rakes.
Keeping in view of the enhanced requirements in future, the doubling of Koderma -Hazaribagh line is also being planned by Railways. Railways requested NTPC for financial participation to complete the project.
