Pertamina: Minister Erick Thohir Appreciates SOEs’ Quick Move to Help Cianjur Earthquake Victims

PT Pertamina continues to deliver services and aid for the community, post-earthquake that hit Cianjur, West Java on (21/11/2022). This service and aid were reviewed and appreciated directly by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), Erick Thohir, in Cianjur.

In his observation at the Disaster Management Post in the Limbangan Sari area, Cianjur, West Java, on Friday (25/11/2022), Erick expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Pertamina and state-owned companies which moved quickly to provide aid to earthquake victims in Cianjur. It includes fuel and LPG distribution for the community and the Police, TNI, and volunteers’ operations.

“I appreciate that SOEs are united and not running separately. All are running under one umbrella in BUMN Peduli or Bakti BUMN. Therefore, this SOEs aid’s impact is better and able to provide good solutions for the community,” said Erick.

Erick added with SOEs’ presence, it is hoped to help alleviate the grief experienced by the earthquake survivors victims. “With SOEs presence, we can become one big family and provide the best solutions for post-disaster victims,” ​​said Erick.

Meanwhile, the Acting VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Heppy Wulansari, said that Pertamina continues to strive in providing the best service for earthquake victims in Cianjur. Including distributing fuel and LPG for the Police, TNI, and volunteers’ mobility in carrying out rescue and evacuation activities for earthquake victims.

Furthermore, Pertamina distributed LPG Bright Gas and groceries for several public kitchens built-in disaster posts. So far, Pertamina has provided aid ranging from 12 tons of rice and various supporting equipment to health equipment.

“We help launch operational activities for affected communities’ rescue and recovery. Pertamina also collaborates with other SOEs to set up posts and helps directly distribute aid to affected communities. This is Pertamina’s commitment to post-disaster recovery and helping communities recover immediately,” explained Heppy.
